「石田万染工場」は、型染め、引き染め、手描きなど様々な友禅の技を駆使して誂え着物を創作する工房。金茶色の地に夕日と秋草の文様が浮かび上がるダイナミックなタペストリーも、工房の友禅の技が駆使された作品。月光や地の部分に見える、金箔のようなムラは、蝋を散らして防染した効果。秋草は伸びやかに手描きされている。
Hand-painted Yuzen tapestry of the highest caliber with the vibrancy and delicacy of a painting.
At the Ishidaman dye studio we employ Yuzen methods such as pull-dyeing, template-dyeing, and hand-painting to create the ideal kimono. This dynamic tapestry depicting the sun setting over autumn grasses on a burnished golden background is yet another product we have created using Yuzen methods. The moonlight and the gilded village that can be seen in the background have been produced by sprinkling gold leaf over the areas which are then protected from the dye. This method gives the autumnal grasses a very tranquil effect.

A tool for rubbing dye over the template paper is used before dyeing. Yuzen is a mixture of a variety of techniques such as hand-painting, template-dyeing, and Battik-dyeing.
