十九代を数える老舗京人形の店が
宮中の美意識を再現した創作・皇宮雛
天正元年（1573年）、御所に参内を許された初代・絵屋権右衛門から十九代を数える「田中人形」の技。当代・平安光義が創造した「皇宮雛」は宮中ゆかりの京人形司らしい有職故実に忠実な立雛。男雛は天皇以外に着ることが許されない黄櫨染（こうろぜん）という色の装束、女雛は平安時代の春の色彩に倣った十二単を着用している。
A Kyoto dollmaker’s studio established for 19 generations re-creates the aesthetics of Heian courtly life with its “Hina” dolls.
Tanaka ningyo has been making dolls since the time that original-Eya Gonuemon was permitted to work in the imperial grounds in 1573, 19 generations ago. These Hina dolls created by Heian Mitsuyoshi are authentic pieces made with time-honoured techniques passed down from a craftsman who had intimate knowledge of the imperial palace. The male dolls wear Kourozen, a colour which only the emperor was permitted to wear. The female dolls wear classical twelve-layered kimono in colours evocative of spring.
